Red Clay Pestle & Mortar by Grace McCarthy

Based in East London and specialising in reduction-fired pieces, a lot of what influences Grace’s work is the raw clay and the firing process; her excitement over ceramics comes from the relationship between both of these elements and the ever-changing outcomes.

These large pestle and mortar’s made from a textured, unglazed grogged clay giving them a satisfyingly weighty, rustic finish - ideal for grinding spices or pastes effectively.
