Large Monstera Vase by Jack Welbourne

Currently based in his Cardiff studio, Jack Welbourne gained experience both in the UK and Sweden whilst honing his skills in gas-fired, hand-thrown pottery. Inspired by traditional techniques and values, each functional piece is elevated by contemporary designs and mark marking in-keeping with the style of Studio Pottery. Working with locally sourced materials such as clay and wood ash he aims to capture a more earthen and elemental feel, allowing you to bring into your home a ‘living work of art’ which excites you with every use.

This large rustic vase works wonderfully as both a decorative and functional piece. Created using red Cornish clay which has been gas-fired to create a rugged and weighty stoneware piece, finished in a green and brown glaze with a hand-painted Monstera leaf design.
