Focusing on functional tableware in stoneware and porcelain, London-based ceramicist Clare Spindler focuses on creating pieces with a strong architectural outline. Her chosen colour palette of muted tones and often the natural colour of the clay, allow the clean and considered lines to stand out. Working predominately on the wheel, Clare also experiments with reduction gas, soda and wood firings.
These tall mugs are fired in a gas kiln allowing the glaze to turn a rich duck-egg green with strong natural speckling all over. Featuring a low rounded handle, these mugs are the perfect size for your daily cup of tea.
