Celadon Glaze Swirl Coffee Mug by Maya Hughes

These large mugs have been thrown in a way which allows the cups form to reflect the swirling movement of the potters wheel. Finished with a celadon glaze which changes from light to dark green across the surface of the cup, with visible drip marks at the base. The piece is fired in a gas-reduction kiln to create a glass-like finish to the surface glaze.
