Will Keating crafts wheel-thrown and hand-built pottery using handmade tools, local clay, and glazes from rocks and plant ash. He sources his own materials and builds his own kilns, firing each piece in gas, wood, or electric kilns, generally letting the material he is working with dictate how to fire.
These beautiful medium medieval-style jugs are thrown in a dark stoneware clay body, blended with a local red earthenware dug in Hartshill. They are finished with a stunning green ash glaze on the top half of each jug. They are a timeless decorative statement piece and can be used as a vase.
