Based in the Cotswolds, carpenter John Crossley creates beautiful hand made furniture and homeware with a range of traditional tools and joinery techniques. Selecting British hardwoods with striking grains and natural character, each piece is finished in natural materials to make enhance the texture and tactile nature of the wood. Playing with forms which are inspired by the British Isles, each piece is both practical and beautiful.
Featuring a wide flat top and four straight-grained legs, these English Oak stools are ideal for the kitchen, bathroom, living room, or bedroom. Each leg is hand-planned to give a subtle taper and then secured to the top using traditional mortise and tenon joints which are not only aesthetically pleasing but also provide additional strength. Finished in a clear Osmo oil and beeswax.
