Japanese ceramicist and architect Sayaka Namba is based in London and originally from the coastal town of Miyazaki. Since 2006, she’s been exploring clay alongside her work in architecture. Her pieces reflect Japanese minimalism, natural textures, and a deep interest in how objects create calm, intimate connections within everyday spaces.
These lovely little dishes have been inspired by flora and feature hand-pinched indents around the rim. Made from a light brown clay with a thin matt white glaze. Perfect for trinkets and jewellery, or serving olives or butter.
