Amelia Brokenbrow works with porcelain tableware and sculpture. By shifting the focus from function to process, she keeps her practice experimental and optimistic. Amelia draws inspiration from various traditional craft techniques, including basketry and brushwork. This introduces imperfect patterns into her work and allows space for chance.
Hand-thrown on the wheel with porcelain, these mugs are finished with a transparent gloss glaze that highlights their shapes. Each is individually designed with pigment brushwork, adding subtle variation and character.
