  • Wood-Fired Anagama Vase

Based in North-East London, ceramicist Ben Sutton is heavily inspired by Japanese pottery. This is reflected in his refined and delicate forms where the mix of clay and careful consideration put into each glaze creates pieces which are a joy to use and admire.

This collection features Ben's signature 'urn' like vase shape, however each piece has been fired 'Anagama' style which is a traditional Japanese wood-fired kiln. The uneven distribution of heat, ash and debris that is caused during the wood-firing allows each vase to come out completely unique, with scorch marks and changing colours all over.
