Having previously worked as a lawyer, artist Angus Gribbon has taken up painting in his retirement. Inspired by the field, trees, and other patterns to be found in the landscape and how they alter in different weather, seasons, and times of day. Based in Kent and mainly focusing on the surroundings of Oast houses, sheep fields, and big skies, he has veered away from pastoral scenes to focus on his other passion which is still life - reacting to the colours and shapes of everyday objects.
This sardine scene is a one-off original oil painting on canvas.
