Lost Wax Casting Pendant Workshop with Alba Jewellery | Sat 21st Sept

Alba Jewellery is all handmade by Jacqueline Dawson, in her garden workshop at home in Suffolk. Jacqueline works in recycled metals; brass, bronze, gold and silver, enjoying the fact that these metals have had previous lives and can now be appreciated for their natural raw beauty.

In this workshop you will be able to play and explore the properties of the moulding wax and eventually fashion something you would like to have cast using the ancient process of lost wax casting to make a pendant to treasure forever.

Initially there will be a chance to browse reference books for inspiration. You can bring along your own sketches or ideas - or just go with the process and let your hands guide you.

The cost covers having your piece cast in brass or bronze in Hatton Garden, this takes up to two weeks, then finished and polished by me in my workshop. If you would prefer it cast in silver we will weigh and work out the additional cost.
